How do I get there from the nearest station, and is there a pick-up service?
There is a pick-up service from Ogoto-Onsen Station on the JR Kosei Line (please contact us). By car it is about 20 minutes from Kyoto-Higashi IC on the Meishin Expressway via the Kosei Road.

What do I get for booking on the official website?
Booking through the official website brings you an email with a discount voucher. On a plan with one night and two meals, it is 1,000 yen off when the price is 15,000 yen or more per person, and 500 yen off when it is under 15,000 yen (not applicable to children).

What kind of hot spring water is it?
Ogoto Onsen, with 1,200 years of history, is a weakly alkaline simple spring known as a beautifying bath that is very good for the skin. At pH 9.0 it is gentle on the skin and leaves it smooth after bathing.

From the private open-air bath Koyuden on the roof you can see the full sweep of Lake Biwa. The inn stands on the lakeshore, so there is plenty of the lake's natural scenery to enjoy.

Each dish is made by hand, offering wholehearted hospitality through the seasonal produce of the Omi region. In winter various hotpots are served, and the wild duck dishes are especially popular. Dinner is served in the room for parties of up to 4 people.
