By train, about 10 minutes by taxi from Takatsuki Station on the JR Hokuriku Main Line, or about 15 minutes by taxi from Nagahama Station on the JR Biwako Line. By car it is about 10 minutes from Odanijo Smart IC, about 20 minutes from Nagahama IC, or about 35 minutes from Maibara IC.

What sightseeing spots are nearby?

There are 7 rooms in total, all with beautiful views of the shore of Lake Biwa. Some rooms look out over Chikubushima, and each has its own distinct design.

Who is the inn intended for?
It is an inn exclusively for two guests, specialising in stays by couples, married couples, mothers and daughters, or friends. It offers a private space limited to seven parties a day, with attentive hospitality. Groups and families cannot be accommodated.

Onoe Onsen is known for its soft feel on the skin. It is regarded as a spring that is good for the skin, and you can bathe at leisure in a setting on the shore of Lake Biwa.

What kinds of baths are there?
We draw on Onoe Onsen, known for its soft feel. One of the seven rooms has its own bath, while the other six use the separate private baths (Chacha no Yu, Hatsu no Yu and Go no Yu). Because Onoe Onsen has a low source temperature, you can enjoy three baths at different temperatures.

We serve Japanese kaiseki cuisine using carefully sourced fresh ingredients, with a commitment to local produce. Alongside the bounty of Lake Biwa such as willow gudgeon, sweetfish, crucian carp, eel and catfish, colourful dishes make the most of seasonal northern Shiga ingredients including Omi beef.
