How long does it take from Kakunodate Station?
The hotel is located right next to JR Akita Shinkansen Kakunodate Station, about 30 seconds on foot. You'll reach the hotel immediately after exiting the ticket gate. It's convenient even on rainy days.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is at 11:00. We store luggage before check-in and after check-out, so you can head out sightseeing right after arrival.

How long does it take to get to Bukeyashiki-dori?
It takes about 20 minutes on foot from the hotel to Bukeyashiki-dori. Along the way you'll find shops selling birch crafts and traditional Japanese sweets. Bicycle rentals (paid) are also available near the hotel.

Is there anything to be aware of in winter?
In winter, road surfaces may freeze, so please bring tire chains. We recommend using studless tires if you are driving.

What is a Train View Room?
A room where you can view the Akita Shinkansen 'Komachi' train up close. It is particularly popular with children. Please inquire at the time of booking if interested.

What is on the breakfast menu?
Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 9:00 at the first-floor restaurant "Ochaya Sakura-Komachi." The menu features freshly cooked Akita komachi rice and Akita regional dishes including inaniwa udon, Hinai chicken oyakodon (parent-and-child rice bowl), and Ogarioba-yaki.

Can I buy souvenirs here?
The hotel gift shop offers a wide selection of local specialties from Kakunodate and throughout Akita, as well as traditional crafts such as kabazaiku (birch bark inlay work).

There is free parking for regular cars on the back side of the hotel building (maximum 9 cars, first-come first-served). If full, we can guide you to a nearby parking lot, so please let the front desk know.
