About 20 minutes by bus from JR Naruto Station (the local bus for Naruto Park), about 3 minutes by car from Naruto-Kita IC on the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway, or about 25 minutes by bus from Tokushima Airport. On the express bus, alight at the Naruto Koen-guchi stop.

Booking is not normally needed and tickets can be bought on the day. Crowds are expected during long holiday periods and special events, so please check the official website for the latest information.

Closed on Mondays, or the following day when Monday is a public holiday. There is also a longer closure in January, and the museum is open every day in August. Please check the opening calendar on the official website for the latest information.

The museum is open 9:30-17:00. Tickets are sold only until 16:00, so please note that you cannot buy one after that time.

Elementary, junior high and high school students pay only 550 yen. The large-scale environmental displays and full-size reproductions of famous paintings are visually enjoyable for children too, and many families visit.

The viewing route runs about 4 km with more than 1,000 works on display, so 2 to 3 hours is the minimum. To see it properly, allow half a day to a full day. There are good cafes and restaurants, so you can break for a meal along the way.

All the works on display are ceramic reproductions, but please check the photography rules on the official website or at the entrance. Personal photographs are generally allowed in many areas, though rules such as no flash may apply.

There is a museum shop on the third basement level, selling the museum's own goods and art books. Its opening hours changed in March 2025, so please check the official website.

There is a cafe and a restaurant in the museum, so you can eat or rest during your visit and stay comfortably for a long time.

The greatest attraction is the environmental displays, which recreate whole ancient sites and chapels; the reproduction of the Sistine Chapel is especially striking. There are also systematic displays tracing the history of Western art and thematic displays.
