Take the Tosaden Kōtsū bus bound for Katsurahama from Minami-Harimaya Bridge and get off at Ryōma Kinen-kan Mae bus stop, then walk about 2 minutes. You can also access via MY Yū Bus through Katsurahama. The fare from the bus terminal is approximately 690 yen.

Many discounts are available, including MY Yuu Bus tickets, JAF membership cards, Ryoma Passport, Sakamoto Ryoma Club vouchers, KIX cards, and Ryoma Research Society membership cards. Please present them at each reception desk.

Around the memorial hall are Katsurahama Beach (Sakamoto Ryoma statue), Katsurahama Aquarium, and Urato Castle ruins (Kochi City designated historic site). Katsurahama is about 5 minutes by car away. In Kochi City, there's also the Ryoma Birthplace Memorial Museum (Kochi City, Kami-cho), where you can visit multiple sites related to Ryoma.

Open 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (last admission at 4:30 p.m.). Closed year-round except the new building's permanent and special exhibition rooms may close during display changes. Check the official website before your visit.

Group use is available. When schools use the facility as part of curriculum learning, admission fees for accompanying teachers are reduced or waived (prior submission of an application form is required). For details, please check the group admission information on the official website.

The recommended viewing time for both the new and main buildings combined is approximately 90 minutes. If you wish to appreciate the exhibits at a leisurely pace, please allow extra time. If you are combining this with Katsurahama's Ryōma statue or the aquarium, plan for about half a day.

When special exhibitions are on, admission is ¥720 for ages 18 and over; ¥400 during permanent exhibition only periods. Free for high school students and under. Those with a disability handbook or caregiving handbook, and one caregiver, are admitted free. Various discount coupons are also available.

This museum holds and displays the largest number of Sakamoto Ryōma's handwritten letters in Japan. We display many precious historical materials, including handwritten letters from Ryōma to his sister Otome.

From the rooftop observation space called the "Blank Stage", you can see an unobstructed view of the majestic Pacific Ocean horizon. On clear days, the scenery is spectacular and it's popular as a photography spot.

There is a life-sized statue of Ryōma at the exit of the memorial hall's main building where you can shake hands—a popular photo spot. Meanwhile, the famous Ryōma bronze statue on Katsurahama (13.4m including the pedestal) is about 5 minutes by car or 10–15 minutes via the promenade from the memorial hall.

The memorial hall has a free dedicated parking lot with 42 regular spaces (including 2 for people with disabilities) and 4 bus spaces. During busy times, please use the Katsurahama Park parking lot (paid). It is about a 10-minute uphill walk from Katsurahama Park parking lot to the memorial hall.
