How do I get there?
Take a Ryujin bus bound for Hongu from JR Kii-Tanabe Station, about 90 minutes, and get off right at the Yunomine Onsen stop. From JR Shingu Station it is about 60-70 minutes by bus.

How far is the World Heritage bath Tsuboyu?
Tsuboyu, the symbol of Yunomine Onsen and a World Heritage site, is right beside the inn. Said to change colour seven times a day, it is a historic public bath used for purification on the Kumano pilgrimage.
Can I combine a stay with walking the Kumano Kodo?
The World Heritage Kumano Kodo passes near the inn, making it an ideal base for an adult trip taking in history and nature. It is also convenient for the three Kumano shrines and Nachi Falls.

What is distinctive about the hot spring, and what baths are there?
You can bathe in water flowing continuously from the source at Yunomine Onsen, said to be the oldest hot spring in Japan. There are two baths, an indoor bath and an open-air bath, both of which can be booked for private use, and bathing is possible all night.
