Do you offer a shuttle service?
We provide free shuttle service to JR Ibusuki Station on a scheduled basis. Advance booking is required (same-day reservations are also available).

Tell me about the shochu bar.
We have an in-house shochu bar featuring around 120 bottles, mainly of sweet potato shochu from the prefecture. You can experience Kagoshima's shochu culture.

An award in the cuisine category of "Japan's 100 Best Hotels and Ryokan Selected by Professionals," hosted by a tourism and travel industry publication. Evaluation is based on a comprehensive assessment of food including menu, tableware, taste, and service. Ibusuki Shusuien has won the top award for 40 consecutive years.

Do you have a private bath?
Yes. We have 2 private bath facilities. A foot massage service is also available.
What is the quality of the hot spring water?
It is sodium chloride spring water. It is said to have the effect of regulating melanin that protects skin from ultraviolet rays. After bathing, skin becomes refreshed and smooth, and it is also known for not cooling down quickly.
Where can I experience sunamushi (sand bath) onsen?
There is no sunamushi onsen in the facility, but a sunamushi onsen facility is located about 3 minutes walk from the ryokan. The convenient access is one of the property's attractions.

We have 9 types of rooms in total, including Japanese-style two-room suites (garden-facing and sea-facing). Our rooms are characterised by a calm atmosphere overlooking a dry landscape garden.

We specialise in seasonal cuisine made with carefully selected Kagoshima ingredients. You can enjoy dishes focused on local produce, such as Kagoshima black pork shabu-shabu kaiseki. We also offer room dining plans in a private dining room.
