How do I get there from Tsuruoka Station?
About 30 minutes on the Shonai Kotsu bus (towards Yutagawa Onsen) from stand 1 in front of JR Tsuruoka Station (fare 520 yen), or about 20 minutes by taxi (around 3,500 yen). From Shonai Airport it is about 40 minutes by taxi.

What sights are there nearby?
Tsuruoka City has Tsuruoka Park, Kamo Aquarium and the Three Mountains of Dewa (Mount Haguro and others). You can also take in the rich nature and food culture of the Shonai region, sometimes called the last paradise and a candidate for World Heritage listing.

How many parties do you take per day?
We are a small inn taking only five parties a day, with 4 rooms, so we can look after every guest closely.

Can I bathe at any time?
You can bathe at any time from check-in at 15:00 until check-out at 10:00. There is a cleaning break of 5-10 minutes at about 9:30 pm. We can also direct you to the Yutagawa Onsen public baths Shomen no Yu and Ta no Yu (until about 8 pm and from about 6 am).

Is shampoo provided in the baths?
Shampoo and the like are provided in the baths in the inn. The public baths outside have no shampoo, conditioner or body soap, so we can lend you some at the front desk if you wish. Please bring towels from your room.

What food is served?
We serve home-made local dishes using Shonai produce along with local sake. The dishes bring out the flavour of the vegetables and seafood, and the range of sake is well received. Meals are served in private rooms so you can take your time.
