From Matsumoto Station, take the Matsumoto Electric Railway Kamikochi Line to Shinshimashima Station (approximately 30 minutes), then take a bus for approximately 30 minutes to Taishoji-ike Bus Stop. The hotel is right in front of the bus stop. The final bus from Shinshimashima Station to Kamikochi departs at 3:30 PM, so please take a train departing Matsumoto Station by 2:46 PM.

Kamikochi is closed to traffic at night. Please plan to arrive by around 5 PM at the latest. Also note that the final bus from the parking area departs around 4:30 PM.

Kappabashi Bridge is about 60 minutes (1 hour) on foot from the hotel, or about 10 minutes by bus to the Kamikochi Bus Terminal. Buses run roughly every 20 minutes during the day, and the bridge is a 5-minute walk from the terminal.

The Starlit Sky Viewing Session is a nature event held from May to October. Kamikochi is inside a national park with no street lights, and there are no lights near Taisho Pond other than the hotel's, so on clear nights the sky fills with stars. On some days the telescope maker Vixen takes part. Please see the hotel's event information for the dates.

We are unable to accommodate children under 6 years old. Children 6 years and above are welcome to stay.

We store luggage before check-in (from 7 AM onwards) and after check-out. We also offer a service (for a fee) to transport luggage to the Kamikochi Bus Terminal luggage storage after check-out. We can also arrange courier delivery.

There is one bath for men and one for women. Operating hours are 6:00 AM–9:00 AM and 3:00 PM–10:30 PM. You can bathe while enjoying views of Mount Yakedake and Taishoji-ike pond. Note that this is not a hot spring. Baths are for hotel guests only. Please bring towels from your room.

Breakfast and dinner are served at the restaurant "Lake View" (70 seats), which overlooks Taishoji-ike pond. Dinner service is from 5:50 PM. The restaurant is also open to the general public during the day from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (last order 3:30 PM), serving light meals, noodles, set meals, and coffee shop menu items.

We have a 6-person capacity elevator and coin laundry in the building. Please note that there are steps at the entrance to the bathroom and toilet in guest rooms, and 3-4 steps at the entrance to the bath. Guests using wheelchairs should confirm these details in advance.

Private vehicles are prohibited from entering Kamikochi year-round, so you cannot drive directly to the hotel. Please park at Sawando Parking Area or Hirayuakandana Parking Area and use a bus or taxi. It is approximately 30 minutes by bus from the parking area. The last bus from the parking area departs around 16:30.
