What should I be careful about when driving in winter?
The route between Shiga and Kusatsu is closed due to snow from mid-November to late April. Winter roads are icy and slippery, which is very dangerous. Please ensure you have winter tyres fitted and carry chains, and drive with great care.
What route should I take by car?
About 20 minutes from Shinshu Nakano IC. After exiting the IC and using the Shiga-Nakano Toll Road, continue straight and turn left at the "Shibu-Ayashiro" traffic light. Turn right at the large Shibu Onsen sign and you'll be on a stone-paved road. Continue straight to arrive. In winter, watch for icy road conditions.

How do I get there?
The nearest station is Yudanaka Station on the Nagano Electric Railway. Pickup from Yudanaka Station is available (reservation required). By car: about 20 minutes from Shinshu Nakano IC. Note: The Shiga-Kusatsu route is closed due to snow from mid-November to late April. The facility is located in central Shibu Onsen near Oyu bath.

What facilities and amenities are in the guest rooms?
All 11 rooms are Japanese-style with 10 tatami mats plus a 2.5 tatami sunken kotatsu area. Each room has a toilet with bidet, sink, TV, refrigerator, telephone, and safe. Amenities include yukata robes, haori jackets, tabi socks, bath towels, towels, and toothbrushes.

VISA and Mastercard are accepted. However, some promotional plans such as cash-only specials may not accept credit cards, so please confirm at the time of booking.

Can you accommodate banquets and group bookings?
Yes. Banquets can be held in our dining areas and banquet halls. We can accommodate groups of 35–40 people for banquets, with a maximum of 40 people for group bookings. For details, please call 0269-33-2101.
Is the facility wheelchair accessible?
The entire facility is tatami-matted, including inside the elevator. The path from the entrance to guest rooms is step-free, so you can move around comfortably and safely.

Can I visit the public hot spring baths in Shibu Onsen?
Yes. Ichinoyukakatei is ideally located in the center of Shibu Onsen near Oyu bath. You can enjoy nine public baths with different water qualities. A visit to the Takayakushi shrine up the stone steps beside our facility is also popular.
What is the spring quality and what bath facilities do you have?
Our original natural hot spring blends three different water sources. The water is fairly hot and leaves you feeling refreshed, with skin feeling moisturized. We offer a large public bath, open-air bath, and family bath. The open-air bath offers views of mountains and starry skies.

Can you arrange a pickup if I don't know my train time in advance?
Yes. If your train time is not yet decided, please call from stations such as Nagano or Obuse before boarding, and we can arrange for you to board our pickup vehicle at Yudanaka Station without waiting. Please feel free to contact us.
Is there shuttle service from Yudanaka Station?
Yes. We provide free shuttle service from Yudanaka Station to the ryokan for guests arriving by train. Pick-up times are between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM from Yudanaka Station. The next day we provide drop-off to Yudanaka Station. Once your train is confirmed, please call 0269-33-2101 in advance to notify us.
