How do I get here from Tokyo?
From Tokyo Station, take the JR Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano Station (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes), then the Nagano Express train to Yudanaka Station (approximately 45 minutes), then bus or taxi for about 5 minutes—total approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. By car, take the Joban IC from Nerima, use the Joshin-etsu Expressway, and exit at Shinshu Nakano IC, then about 20 minutes—total approximately 3 hours.

How do I get there?
About 5 minutes by bus or taxi from Yudanaka Station on the Nagano Electric Railway. From Tokyo Station: Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano Station (about 1 hour 30 minutes), then Nagano Electric Railway Express to Yudanaka Station (about 45 minutes), total about 2 hours 20 minutes. By car: about 20 minutes (13 km) via the Shinshu Nakano IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway and local roads via the Shiga-Nakano Toll Road. Shuttle service available from Yudanaka Station for arrivals at 3:12 PM or later (advance phone notification required).

What types of rooms are available?
We offer four room types: Superior Japanese Modern Twin (10 tatami + Simmons bed), Superior Japanese Modern Corner Twin (10 tatami + Simmons bed), Standard Japanese Room (10 tatami), and Western Twin. All rooms are non-smoking and equipped with private bath and toilet.
What are the room facilities and amenities?
All rooms include free Wi-Fi, TV, safe, refrigerator (free drinks), and humidifying air purifier. Superior Japanese Modern rooms also have an illy coffee machine. Amenities include towels, yukata, toothbrush set, hair dryer, and DHC amenities.

What kind of facility is the lounge? What are the opening hours?
The lounge "Mahoroba" recreates a Showa-era elementary school classroom. We provide complimentary drinks (beer, water, coffee, etc.). Hours are 15:00–19:00 (water and coffee until 21:00) and 7:00–11:00 in the morning.

What types of baths are available?
We offer natural hot spring water made from a blend of three spring sources, provided as flowing hot spring (no heating or filtering). We have a large public bath, outdoor bath, private outdoor bath, and private family bath. You can enjoy our famous hot spring with soft water that leaves your skin feeling smooth and refreshed.

Is there a pick-up from Yudanaka Station?
If you telephone us with your Nagano Electric Railway arrival time we will collect you from Yudanaka Station, for arrivals at Yudanaka from 15:12 onwards only. We can also take you back to the station on request.

Where can I eat? Can I use a private dining room?
Dinner and breakfast are served in our dining room or in a common hall. We have 5 private dining rooms available. If you wish to use a private room, please let us know when making your reservation.
What kind of meals are served?
Kaiseki (multi-course Japanese dinner) prepared by our head chef using Shinshu ingredients, with menus that change seasonally. You can enjoy flavours nurtured by Shinshu's abundant nature, including organically grown rice, Shinshu Alps beef, and seasonal ingredients.
