What are the highlights of Tsuchiyū Onsen?
Tsuchiyū Onsen is a renowned hot spring with over 1000 years of history and is also famous as the birthplace of Tsuchiyū kokeshi, one of Japan's three major kokeshi doll traditions. Nearby you can also visit a binary power generation facility (geothermal power). The area is close to scenic spots such as Bandai-Asahi Skyline and Azuma-Komitake.

What is the spring quality?
A simple hot spring with abundant source water at 60°C and 230 litres per minute, adjusted to comfortable temperature through natural spring water. It is effective for high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, rheumatism, neuralgia, skin conditions, women's ailments, and poor circulation.
What kind of baths do you have?
We have 8 hot springs with different characteristics throughout the facility. These include a spectacular open-air bath overlooking the Arakawa two-tier waterfall, a large bath with views of the garden, and 5 private baths, allowing you to enjoy a hot spring tour.

Is there a shuttle service?
Free shuttle service is available from JR Fukushima Station West Exit. Two departures from the station: 14:30 and 17:00. One departure from Sansuiso: 10:00 (approximately 30 minutes). Advance reservation required; please contact us by 15:00 the day before.

What types of rooms are available?
All rooms in the special suite Shisuitei feature a semi-open-air bath and terrace with panoramic mountain views and source-fed open-air bath. We also offer Japanese-Western rooms with decorative stained glass, Japanese rooms Kacho-en (12.5 tatami, overlooking a Japanese garden, designated as five-star accommodation), and Shinoname (10 tatami, mountain-facing), among others.
