What amenities are provided?
We use carefully chosen amenities developed with local Iwami industry, including locally made samue as room wear. The samue are soft to the touch, popular with guests and available to buy online.

What does craft hotel mean?
It means a hotel where the spatial design, interiors, tableware, furniture and fabrics were all developed jointly with local industry in Masuda and the Iwami region — potteries, furniture makers and textile manufacturers. The culture of the region and the skills of its craftspeople run through the whole building.

Check-in is from 15:00 (we can receive guests until 5:00 the following morning) and check-out is by 11:00.

Is it suitable for business travel?
The hotel is about 3 minutes' walk from JR Masuda Station, very convenient for business trips and longer stays, with Wi-Fi throughout for remote working.

How easy is it to reach the sights of the Iwami region?
Grand Toit (the Iwami Art Museum and the Iwami Arts Theatre) is within walking distance of the hotel. Natural attractions such as the Hikimi Gorge and the town of Tsuwano are also easy to reach.

What is the hot spring like?
There is a large communal bath and sauna using natural hot spring water from our own source on the site (a simple spring known for its effect on the skin), flowing continuously from the source. Day-use bathing is also available.

What is breakfast like?
A breakfast buffet is served at MASCOS BAR & DINING from 6:30 to 10:00, with a menu making generous use of local vegetables and changing with the season. The smoothies are also popular.
What is served for dinner?
MASCOS BAR & DINING on the first floor serves WAO cuisine, blending Japanese and Western elements, built mainly on Iwami ingredients, prepared by chefs from well-known local restaurants in Masuda.

There is parking for 60 vehicles at 800 yen per night for a car. Medium and large coaches are 2,000 yen per night and must be booked in advance.
