How do I get there from Yamagata Station?
Take the Yamako bus for Zao Onsen from JR Yamagata Station, alight at the last stop, the Zao bus terminal, and come on by free shuttle bus or on foot. The journey takes about 40-45 minutes.

What activities are there?
There is a pool in the hotel and terraces for watching the stars and the sunset, and you can choose from more than 50 activities: trekking in summer and skiing in winter, and much else through the year.
How can I ski in winter?
The hotel is close to Zao Onsen ski area and has a drying room for ski gear. In winter you can ski and snowboard.

It is the strongly acidic sulphur water of Zao Onsen, used straight from the source. The spa Yururi is open 24 hours, and the water is popular as a beautifying bath.

You can use the hot springs at several hotels in the Meito Ichimon Takamiya group free of charge, so you can enjoy Zao Onsen in a variety of baths.
