How do I get there from the JR line?
About 60 minutes by bus from JR Toya Station or JR Kutchan Station. The resort is located along National Route 230.

Is summer or winter better?
In summer you can enjoy the amusement park, golf and a range of activities, and in winter the vast ski area. It is one of Hokkaido's largest leisure resorts, enjoyable through all four seasons.
How large is the ski area?
The ski area at Rusutsu Resort is a large one spread across Shikotsu-Toya National Park and is one of Hokkaido's leading ski resorts. In summer you can enjoy activities such as the amusement park and golf.

Are a bathing tax or accommodation tax charged?
Under local tax law, adults aged 15-64 pay a bathing tax of 150 yen per person per night. In addition, from 1 April 2026 the Hokkaido accommodation tax and the Rusutsu Village accommodation tax come into effect, and 200-1,000 yen per person per night will be collected separately on site depending on the room rate.

Are towels provided at the communal bath?
Towels and bath towels are not provided at the communal bath. Please bring them from your room.
Is there a hot spring?
Rusutsu Onsen Kotobuki no Yu is on the 6th floor of the North Wing, with an open-air bath looking out over Shikotsu-Toya National Park. The water is a sodium bicarbonate spring (neutral, hypotonic, high-temperature). Hotel guests may use it free of charge during their stay (from check-in to check-out).

Is it suitable for a multi-night stay?
With the ski area, amusement park, golf, hot spring and several restaurants all within the hotel, you can stay several nights without running out of things to do. Please also see the official website for plans aimed at longer stays.
