About 45 minutes by local bus bound for Zao Onsen from JR Yamagata Station. Call the hotel once you reach the bus terminal and a shuttle can pick you up.

What can I enjoy in summer?
Sightseeing at Goshikinuma (Okama), the symbol of Zao, is popular in summer. It is about 30 minutes by car from the hotel, and the caldera lake changes colour with the light.
Can I ski in winter?
Zao Onsen Ski Resort is right in front of the hotel, so you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding to the full. Zao's famous winter snow monsters (ice monsters) can also be seen about 30 minutes away by car. The Zao Ropeway takes you up to the snow monster field.
