Yes, there is a free shuttle bus from Gero Station. Pick-up runs 14:30-19:00 and drop-off 7:30-10:00. If you contact us in advance we will meet you in line with your train arrival time.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 15:00 and check-out is 10:00. Early check-in (from 13:00) and late check-out (until 11:00) may be available for a fee, depending on availability.

Can I stay with children, and how are they charged?
Children under 1 sharing a bed with no futon or meals stay free. Children aged 1 and over who are not yet in school pay a facility fee of 1,000 yen (before tax). Elementary school children are charged 70% of the adult rate (80% on some plans).

How does it differ from the sister property Yukyu no Hana?
Fugaku and Yukyu no Hana are adjacent sister properties. Yukyu no Hana has no front desk, so please come to Fugaku to check in. The communal bath at Fugaku is shared, reached via a connecting passage.

Can I use the baths on a day visit?
Day-use bathing in the communal bath and the open-air bath with a view is available. However, it may be refused at busy times. Please enquire in advance for details.

There is a communal bath and an open-air bath with a view (alternated between men and women; open 15:00-23:30 and 6:30-9:30), as well as a private hot spring bath made of Shigaraki ceramic with water flowing directly from the source.
Can we use the private hot spring bath with a baby?
The private hot spring bath, with water flowing directly from the source, is an intimate size suited to couples and to babies, so families are welcome to use it.
What are the qualities and characteristics of the hot spring?
Gero Onsen is an alkaline simple spring, with a source temperature of 55.6C (maximum 84C), pH 9.1, and a flow rate of 1,250 litres per minute. It is known as a bijin no yu, a spring said to leave the skin smooth.
