How do I get here from Fukuoka City or Fukuoka Airport?
From Fukuoka City or Fukuoka Airport, it takes about 60 minutes via expressway. From Haraki IC on the Oita Expressway it's about 6 minutes, and from Asakura IC it's about 12 minutes.
Do you offer shuttle service from the nearest station or bus stop?
We provide free shuttle service between the nearest station or bus stop and our facility. Please call us when you arrive at the station or bus stop.

Do you have barrier-free facilities?
We have barrier-free facilities to accommodate elderly guests and those with mobility challenges. We have also obtained Silver Star certification, so you can stay with confidence.

What are the nearby tourist attractions?
You can enjoy Akizuki Castle ruins (30 minutes by car), fruit picking, visiting pottery kilns of Koishiwara-yaki and Kooda-yaki ware, Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (50 minutes by car), and others. In summer, cormorant fishing on the Chikugo River is a seasonal highlight.

What types of guest rooms are available?
There are three types: the central building with all rooms facing east and overlooking the Chikugo River, the more reasonably priced east building, and detached cottages with private open-air hot spring baths. A variety of room types, including Japanese-Western hybrid rooms, are available.

What is the spring water quality and characteristics?
You can enjoy the W (double) beauty-enhancing hot spring of Harazuka Onsen. It is popular with women as a beauty-enhancing hot spring featuring two types: weakly alkaline simple thermal water (which smooths the skin) and simple sulfur thermal water (which removes skin oils and protects against ultraviolet rays).
What kinds of baths are there?
There is a garden open-air bath nestled within a Japanese garden (with gender rotation), Japan's first tatami mat bath (soft texture and non-slip surface), and a sauna. Some detached guest rooms also feature private open-air hot spring baths fed by the natural spring.

What kind of meals do you serve?
We pride ourselves on a seasonal breakfast buffet featuring dozens of ingredients from Kyushu. You can enjoy the bounty of Kyushu that delights the palate. Dinner is kaiseki (multi-course Japanese cuisine) as standard.
