All rooms look out over the Chikugo River and the surrounding countryside. There are also rooms on the upper floors with their own open-air hot spring bath, where you can have the skin-friendly waters to yourself while looking up at the night sky.

At Harazuru Onsen an accommodation tax of 200 yen and a bathing tax of 150 yen are charged separately from the room rate. Please check when booking.

What are the qualities and characteristics of the hot spring?
Harazuru Onsen is known as a spring that is good for the skin, with a distinctive silky feel. The water is weakly alkaline and is expected to help with recovery from fatigue and to benefit the skin. You can enjoy it in the open-air bath with a view and the indoor communal bath.

What kind of hot spring area is Harazuru Onsen?
Harazuru Onsen has the largest flow and the greatest number of springs in Fukuoka Prefecture. Located along the Chikugo River, Kyushu's greatest river, it is known for its double beauty waters, a blend of a weakly alkaline simple spring and a sulphur spring.

What sightseeing spots are nearby?
Akizuki Castle ruins are about 30 minutes by car and Dazaifu about 50 minutes. Around Harazuru Onsen you can watch cormorant fishing on the Chikugo River from May to October, and enjoy fruit picking and visits to folk pottery kilns in the Asakura, Ukiha and Toho areas.
