How do I get there?
By train, take the Seibu bus for Ogano Shako from Seibu-Chichibu Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line, about 30 minutes, alight at the Matsuida stop and walk about 5 minutes. By car it is about 40 minutes from Hanazono IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway via Route 140.

You are known as the go and shogi inn. What does that mean?
It began when the owner two generations back collected go boards, and we have been used ever since as the go and shogi inn. We keep go and shogi boards, making us an unusual inn where you can play during your stay.

What is distinctive about the hot spring?
You can enjoy the natural hot spring known as Takane no Yu, water nurtured by the rich nature of the Chichibu region, which eases the tiredness of daily life.

We serve dishes using local Chichibu ingredients, mainly produce from the mountains and rivers, prepared with care. Simple but attentive hospitality is what we value.
