Can I stay with children?
Families with children are welcome. We offer family-friendly plans including a "Child Fixed Rate" plan and Kutani pottery experience plan. You can also use our hot spring table tennis facility.

We offer special rooms with semi-open-air hot spring baths, such as "Hourai no Ma." "Hourai no Ma" completed renovation in November 2024. Please check the accommodation plan list for details.

Can you tell me about the history and characteristics of this ryokan?
Founded in Awazu Hot Spring, which was opened by Taichō Daishi in the Nara period, this is one of the world's oldest hotels with over 1,300 years of history. Registered as "World's Oldest Hotel" by Guinness in 1996 (currently re-registered by another), and joined the French Henokiens association in 1987. It is a rare case worldwide, having been managed by the same family for 47 generations.

What is the water quality and what are the benefits of the hot spring?
This is a sacred spring said to have been discovered by Taichō Daishi 1,300 years ago, and is known as the oldest hot spring in Hokuriku. It is transmitted as a sacred spring with miraculous powers of Yakushi Nyorai (Medicine Buddha), believed to be effective in healing wounds and illnesses. You can enjoy this sacred spring that continues to flow to this day.

What kind of meals are served?
We serve seasonal kaiseki (multi-course Japanese dinner) made with fresh Hokuriku and Kaga ingredients selected by our head chef. We have a full range of plans featuring Hokuriku's finest ingredients such as crab, Noto beef, and atka mackerel. Private dining rooms are also available.

Can I view the garden?
You can enjoy a Japanese garden with connections to Enshū Kobori. It changes character through the seasons—spring cherry blossoms, summer clear streams, autumn foliage, and winter scenery. Guests are welcome to view the garden freely during their stay.
