How do I get there from central Kyoto?
Take the Eizan Electric Railway from Demachiyanagi Station and get off at Kibuneguchi, from where you can use our free pick-up service. Demachiyanagi to Kibuneguchi takes about 30 minutes.

When was the inn founded?
It is a long-established ryotei inn founded in 1932. For many years it has kept alive the food culture of Kibune and the tradition of riverside kawadoko dining.

What is there to enjoy in winter?
The kawadoko platforms close in winter, but meals are served indoors. Kibune under snow has a magical atmosphere and makes for a quiet stay.

Seasonal Kyoto kaiseki is served on the kawadoko platforms over the Kibune River during the summer season, from May to September.

The inn has no car park of its own. We recommend coming to the Kibune area by public transport. Traffic restrictions are also in place in the Kibune area on some summer weekends.
