Can I stay during the ski season?
Akakura Kanko Resort ski area adjoins the hotel, making it an ideal base for skiing and snowboarding, with the slopes within walking distance.

As a highland resort at 1,000 m it is popular as a cool retreat in summer, with the Akakura golf course and hiking in the nature of Myoko Kogen.

Check-in is 15:00 and check-out is 10:00. Times may differ depending on the plan.

Are there rooms with an open-air bath?
The Premium wing has rooms with their own open-air hot spring bath fed continuously from the source. There is a wide choice of room types, including the SPA & SUITE wing.

A bathing tax of 150 yen per adult is charged separately, payable on site.

What are the qualities of the hot spring?
It is natural water with the scent of sulphur, rising naturally partway up Mount Myoko and used continuously from the source. You can enjoy it in the indoor baths, the open-air baths and the rooms with their own open-air bath in the Premium wing.

What is the food like?
There are three restaurants: the traditional French main dining room Sorbier, the Japanese restaurant Shunsai Dining Shirakaba, and the atmospheric Aqua Dining, offering enough variety for a stay of several nights.

Is there a bar?
There is an atmospheric bar surrounded by the water basin of the aqua terrace, serving original cocktails and cocktails made with our own mint. It is open 20:00-22:30 (last orders).

Is there parking?
There is parking for hotel guests. In winter we recommend four-wheel drive with studless tyres; front-wheel-drive vehicles must carry metal chains.

A free shuttle bus runs from Myoko-Kogen Station on the Shinano Railway and Echigo Tokimeki Railway (booking required). About 10 minutes from Myoko-Kogen IC on the Joshin-etsu Expressway, towards Akakura Onsen.
