Yes, there is an official online shop selling souvenirs we have chosen, sake from Hiroshima Prefecture, and tableware and amenities from our sister inn Migiwatei Ochikochi.

In February 2026 two ocean executive rooms with semi-open-air baths, Yoi and Shiro, opened on the fifth floor. There is one of each, just two special rooms in all.

How much is day bathing?
Day bathing is 1,600 yen including tax for adults and 800 yen including tax for elementary school children; one pre-school child is free per adult. Bathing towels are lent free in the changing room; bath towels are charged (330 yen including tax).

Can I visit the baths at the sister inn?
Yes, you can also use the baths at our sister inn Migiwatei Ochikochi, also in Tomonoura (please check with the front desk for details).
What kind of water is Tomonoura Onsen?
It has one of the highest radium contents in Japan (a simple weakly radioactive cold mineral spring). Known as kosui, the water of good fortune, it has long been famous as a spring with miraculous powers of recovery from illness.
What are the bathing hall's opening hours?
The bathing hall is open 5:00-9:30 and 11:00-24:00. The men's and women's baths are swapped the following morning. Day bathing is available 11:00-18:00 (last entry 17:00).

Can I go sightseeing in Tomonoura?
Yes. Tomonoura, recognised as a Japan Heritage site in 2018, is a historic port town that prospered from medieval times as a harbour where ships waited for the tide. Streets and historic sites from the Edo period remain, so there is plenty to see.

Yes, there are two kinds: a loyly sauna and a steam sauna, each with its own character, for a thoroughly refreshing experience.

What food can I enjoy?
We serve kaiseki courses built on the abundant seafood of the Seto Inland Sea, with seasonal fruit and vegetables grown in the mild local climate for colour. Meals are served in the private rooms of the dining room Kairi.

There is a car park, but it is about 300 m from the inn. We will take you between the two (vehicles up to 2.4 m high).

About 30-40 minutes on the bus for Tomoko from the south exit of Fukuyama Station on the JR Sanyo Main Line, alighting right at Tomonoura. About 40 minutes from Fukuyama-Higashi IC on the Sanyo Expressway.
