About 6 minutes by taxi from Kaminoyama-Onsen Station on the JR Ou Main Line, and a scheduled shuttle is also available. From Yamagata-Zao IC on the Yamagata Expressway it is about 20-30 minutes via National Route 13. From Tokyo, Kaminoyama-Onsen Station is about 2 hours 26 minutes by Yamagata Shinkansen.

What are the bathing facilities like?
The eighth-floor bathing hall with a view has an open-air bath looking out over the Zao mountains and the lights of Kaminoyama. On the first floor there is a barrel open-air bath and an indoor bath, plus a hot sauna and a cold sauna called the kamakura sauna. A private bath is also available.
