How do I get there by train?
About 60 minutes by Chutetsu bus bound for Ishikoshi from JR Tsuyama Station, alighting at the Okutsu Onsen stop, then about 5 minutes on foot. From JR Okayama Station it is about 100 minutes by car.

What sightseeing spots are nearby?
Nearby are Okutsu Gorge, famous for its autumn colours, and the traditional foot-washing of laundry beside the bridge (Sundays and public holidays from March to November). A walk around the hot spring town near the Okutsu Bridge is also enjoyable.

What are the qualities and benefits of the hot spring?
It is our own source at Okutsu Onsen, an alkaline simple spring long celebrated as a beauty bath. It contains components that leave the skin smooth and is said to help with skin conditions, neuralgia and women's complaints.

There is a large bathing hall whose walls are a work by the sculptor Mitsuaki Sora, a spacious open-air bath surrounded by trees, and a private bath (2,000 yen per person per hour). Day-use bathing is 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children (13:00-22:00).
