How do I get there from Tokyo or by Shinkansen?
By Shinkansen, Tokyo Station to Odawara Station takes about 35-40 minutes (on a Kodama service), then about 35 minutes on the Hakone Tozan Railway to Miyanoshita Station. The Odakyu Romancecar takes about 85 minutes from Shinjuku Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station, from where a bus is convenient.
How do I get there from the nearest station?
About 7 minutes' walk from Miyanoshita Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway. By car it is about 20 minutes from Odawara-Hakoneguchi IC on the Odawara-Atsugi Road via National Route 1.

It opened in 1878 as Japan's first full-scale resort hotel. It comprises four buildings: the Main Building, the Western Annexe, Hana-goten and Forest Wing, most of which were designated national Tangible Cultural Properties in 1997. It reopened in 2020 after major renovation.

What restaurants are there?
The main dining room The Fujiya, running for more than 90 years since 1930, serves Western breakfast (7:30-10:00), weekend-only lunch (12:00-15:00) and dinner (17:30-20:30). You can enjoy authentic French cuisine in a magnificent space with a 6-metre-high coffered ceiling. Japanese breakfast (by reservation) is also served at Kikkaso, a former imperial villa.
