Can I ski? How do I access the slopes?
In winter, the property is ideally located just a 3-minute walk from Zao Ski Resort. Zao Onsen Ski Area is one of Japan's largest ski resorts and you can also enjoy viewing the frost-covered trees (juhyou).

Check-in is from 14:00 to 18:00, and check-out is at 10:00.

We do not accept children aged 6 and under. Children aged 7 and above may use the facility. Please contact the hotel for details.

What types of guest rooms are available?
We offer newly renovated room types including junior suites (approximately 62–63 m², with living area, bedroom, and massage chair) and Japanese-style deluxe twins.

Is there a large public bath and sauna?
The property has a bright, open large public bath with large windows and an outdoor bath. A sauna is also available for refreshing both body and mind.
If I have a tattoo, can I use the hot spring?
Guests with tattoos are not permitted to use the large public bath in the facility. Please note this in advance.
What kind of hot spring is the "Hanare-yu Hyakuhasshupo"?
It is a hot spring building located exactly 108 steps from the hotel, featuring source-fed spring water. The bath is characterized by the milky white colour and sulphur aroma distinctive to Zao hot spring with its strong acidic water. It offers an outdoor bath, indoor bath, and foot bath. You can bathe while enjoying panoramic views of the Zao mountain range and Ryuzan.

Can I use the facility for summer tourism?
In summer you can enjoy trekking on the Zao mountain range, viewing Okama (volcanic crater lake), and outdoor activities in the cool highland climate. Nearby walking courses are also popular.

Is there a shuttle service from Yamagata Station?
Free shuttle service is available from Yamagata Station to the facility. Reservations must be made up to 3 days in advance. If you arrive at Zao Onsen Bus Terminal, you can call and we will pick you up (no reservation required for this).

What kind of meals are served?
We serve kaiseki (multi-course Japanese dinner) featuring local, seasonal ingredients including Yamagata beef. The content, number of dishes, and tableware change by season. Breakfast also incorporates seasonal ingredients.

An outdoor car park with 50 spaces is available. Parking is free for guests staying at the facility.

How do I get there?
From JR Yamagata Station by Yamakobus about 40 minutes to Zaotakahara Bus Terminal, then about 15 minutes on foot or about 3 minutes by taxi. About 30 minutes via the Nishi-Zaokogen Highland Line from Yamagata Expressway's Yamaga-Zao IC. Free shuttle service available from Yamagata Station (advance reservation required up to 3 days before).
