How do I get there from Shibukawa Station?
About 30 minutes by local bus from Shibukawa Station on the JR Joetsu Line. Call us when you reach the bus stop and we will come to collect you (free transfer from the bus stop). Please note that we do not provide transfers to JR Shibukawa Station.

What are the qualities and characteristics of the hot spring?
We use Ikaho's celebrated Kogane no Yu. We have held rights to about a quarter of the total flow of roughly 4,000 litres per minute for more than 400 years, and you can enjoy it fully in our communal bath with garden open-air baths, which at 1,300 tsubo (about 4,300 square metres) is among the largest in northern Kanto. In 2024 it was ranked second in Japan in the Rakuten bath review ratings.

Are there rooms with an open-air bath?
Yes, rooms with an open-air bath were newly introduced on 29 March 2025. As well as the distinctively designed Japanese and Japanese-Western rooms with an open-air bath in the Sansuitei wing, several other types are available.
What room types are there?
There are 111 rooms in total: 17 Western-style, 35 Japanese-style, 54 Japanese-Western and 5 others. The range includes VIP and special rooms with views of Mount Tanigawa and Mount Hotaka, modern Japanese-Western rooms, and rooms with an open-air bath.

What is the food like?
We serve kaiseki menus such as the Kogure kaiseki and the special kaiseki. In summer 2024 we also opened Soramori, a new breakfast buffet venue at about 700 m elevation with sweeping views of the Akagi mountains, serving fine local produce.
