Is there a pick-up service?
We offer a free pick-up from the Kurokawa Onsen bus stop. Please arrange it when booking or when you call to confirm.
Is there anything to watch out for in winter?
Roads may freeze in winter, so please bring tyre chains or other non-slip equipment.
Is there parking?
There is free parking for 20 cars, with no booking needed. The inn stands on Route 442, so you can drive straight into the hot spring town.
How do I get there?
About 40 minutes by car from JR Aso Station, or about 60 minutes by car from Hita IC on the Oita Expressway. With a free pick-up from the Kurokawa Onsen bus stop, coming by bus is also convenient.

What are the rooms in the main house like?
The rooms in the main house are calm 10-tatami Japanese rooms on the first floor. Surrounded by greenery, they have wide windows through which the breeze and the swaying plants give a sense of place. They have a washbasin and toilet with a washlet.
Are there detached rooms?
There are 4 fully detached rooms in the Nukumori no Yado wing, each a hideaway with its own character. They have a fireplace and an open-air bath and are very popular.

What is distinctive about the open-air bath?
Our speciality is an open-air bath looking onto the Byobu Rock. The water is a fine milky green, unusual even in Kurokawa Onsen, and the bathing building also has indoor baths. It is divided between baths for overnight guests and baths for visitors doing the open-air bath tour.
Is there a private bath?
There is a family bath, available at 2,500 yen for 50 minutes per room (face towels lent). Please contact us for details.

About 40 minutes by car from JR Aso Station. From Hita Station on the JR Kyudai Main Line, take the bus for Tsuetate Onsen to the last stop, then about 25 minutes by car. A free pick-up from the Kurokawa Onsen bus stop is available (booking required). Free parking for 20 cars.
