What are the check-in and check-out times?
Standard check-in is 15:00 and check-out is 10:00. Times may differ by plan, so please check the plan you have booked.

What room types are there?
There are several types, including Japanese-Western rooms (12 tatami mats plus a bedroom) and special rooms (Japanese-Western, 14 tatami mats plus a Western room). Most rooms have a shower, the idea being that you bathe mainly in the bathing hall and open-air bath.

How does it differ from the sister inn Yusai Bekkan?
Yusai Bekkan is the annex of Yukyo no Hibiki Yusai, about 2 minutes' walk away. Guests at Yusai Bekkan may use the bathing halls of Yukyo no Hibiki Yusai free of charge. The main building, Yukyo no Hibiki Yusai, has the more extensive facilities.

Can I book a private bath?
There are two private baths. Please ask at check-in or at the front desk about booking them and any charges.
Can I use the Kurokawa Onsen bath-hopping pass?
You can use the Kurokawa Onsen bath-hopping pass to visit the hot springs at other inns in the area. Please ask about buying and using the pass in the Kurokawa Onsen town (at Kaze no Ya and elsewhere).
How many baths are there, and what kinds?
There are seven baths in all: four indoor baths in the bathing halls, three open-air baths and two private baths. All use water at 100 per cent from the source, a weakly alkaline water with a light feel on the skin. The baths have different characters, including Chikurin no Yu, Soki no Yu and Keiryu no Yu.
Can I bathe without staying overnight?
Most of the baths are for overnight guests, but Jusai no Yu can sometimes be used by day visitors. Please contact the inn directly for details.

What style are the meals?
Dinner is a buffet of Kumamoto specialities and Japanese-Western dishes, with an unlimited drinks corner. The sushi buffet, where a chef prepares the sushi, is also popular. Breakfast is a wholesome buffet.

There is the Yusai Observatory on the grounds, where a resident star guide introduces the night sky over Kurokawa Onsen. It is well received as an out-of-the-ordinary experience through the seasons. Please ask at the front desk for details.
