How do I get there from JR Beppu Station?
About 15 minutes by car or taxi from JR Beppu Station. From Beppu IC on the Oita Expressway it is about 5 minutes by car. The inn is in the Kannawa Onsen area.

Shinkiya Ryokan has meal plans featuring jigoku-mushi cooked in hot spring steam. The Kannawa hot spring town nearby also has facilities such as the Jigoku-mushi Kobo, worth a walk.

What is distinctive about the hot spring?
The water comes from a source about 30 m from the inn and is used at 100 per cent without recirculation. The source is very hot, above 90 degrees, and warms you right through. From winter to Golden Week you can also enjoy a citrus bath, with hassaku and summer oranges floating in the water.

Is there a private bath, and is it free?
There are three private hot spring baths, including an open-air hinoki bath, free for guests to use. The open-air hinoki bath is a private space where you can look at the night sky (14:00-24:00 and 6:00-10:00).

The inn is in the Kannawa Onsen area, and each of the Hells on Beppu's famous tour is within a few minutes by car.

What is the food like?
We serve dishes using organically grown vegetables and the produce of Bungo, including Oita wagyu beef and fresh fish from Beppu Bay. Both dinner and breakfast are served in your room. The hot spring water used for jigoku-mushi steaming is also used in the cooking.
