What kinds of bath are there?
There is a range: a bathing hall with a view over the Pacific, an open-air bath, a private bath and rooms with their own bath fed at 100 per cent from the source.

What sights are there nearby?
Tenpizan on the Isohara coast (very close to the inn), the strange rock formation Futatsujima and the Noguchi Ujo Memorial Museum are all nearby. Okakura Tenshin's Rokkakudo at Izura and Hitachi Seaside Park (famous for nemophila) can also be reached by car.

Can I see the sea from the rooms?
There is the Tsuki no Yakata wing, where every room faces the sea, and the Hama no Yakata wing, which has rooms with their own hot spring bath fed at 100 per cent from the source. From Isohama beach you can see across the Pacific, with the strange rock formation Futatsujima to the north.

What is the connection with Noguchi Ujo?
A sulphur spring struck in 1931 by our ancestor Watanabe Toshinosuke became widely known when his childhood friend, the poet Noguchi Ujo, wrote of it in his song Isohara Kouta.

What is the spring quality of the hot spring?
It is a sulphur spring that opened in Showa 6 (1931). The soft, warm water is known for its skin-beautifying properties and was famously mentioned by poet Noguchi Ujo in his piece 'Isohara Kouta'.

What meals are available?
We specialise in fresh local fish dishes sourced from Otsu and Hirakata ports. You can enjoy seasonal seafood as sashimi, simmered fish, and grilled fish. In winter, we also offer ankoudoujiru, a traditional fisherman's hotpot made with anglerfish.
How are meals served?
Local fish dishes are served at low tables with sunken foot wells in our restaurant Uogun Tanchiki.
