There are 15 rooms in 8 Japanese-Western types, all with twin beds. They include Honoka (72 square metres plus a 15-square-metre terrace) with a Shigaraki-ware open-air bath, Shionoka (50 square metres plus a 20-square-metre terrace) with a semi-open-air bath, and Sakura and Umi-Sui with cypress baths.

What are the qualities and benefits of the hot spring?
We use Boso hot spring water. Its main component is metasilicic acid, known as a natural moisturising agent, which is said to help the skin's ceramides, remove impurities, soften the skin and leave it feeling moist.

There is a large communal bath with an open-air section, and a private open-air bath made of Shigaraki ware. The private bath is roomy enough for a family, and you can bathe privately while looking at the garden or the night sky.

What sightseeing spots are nearby?
Kamogawa Sea World is about 30 minutes away by car, and the Katsuura Morning Market is close by, where you can see fresh seafood and vegetables sold early in the day. The sea at Katsuura shelves gently, making it ideal for family bathing.

What is the food like and how is it served?
We hold bidding rights at nearby fishing ports and serve seasonal Boso kaiseki cuisine in private dining rooms, using seafood landed that day and freshly picked local vegetables. Our head chef is certified as a Master Craftsman of Chiba Prefecture and is highly regarded.
