How long does it take from Iizaka Onsen Station?
About 7 minutes' walk from Iizaka Onsen Station on the Fukushima Kotsu Iizaka Line. The inn stands in front of Saba-ko Yu, the symbol of Iizaka Onsen.

Are there sightseeing spots nearby?
Saba-ko Yu, a landmark of Iizaka Onsen, is right in front of the inn, and there are several other public bathhouses and foot baths within walking distance in the hot spring district (the public bathhouses are about 5 minutes' walk).

What kind of building is the registered Tangible Cultural Property?
Built entirely of zelkova, the building retains the atmosphere of an old inn with its reception counter and storehouses, and period furnishings such as folding screens, hanging scrolls and a sunken hearth can be seen throughout. The whole property is a registered national Tangible Cultural Property, and the entrance leading to the storehouse is in the late Edo-period dozo style.

Is there a limit on the number of guests per day?
The inn takes just five parties a day. It places importance on a quiet stay for a small number of guests, with unhurried hospitality.

What kinds of baths are there?
There are two natural hot spring (simple spring) private baths, free for hotel guests: a spotlessly clean bath, and Yoemon no Yu, built using granite relocated from the former Saba-ko Yu bathhouse.
Can I use the baths on a day visit?
Day-use bathing has been suspended since 17 April 2024. The hot spring is for hotel guests only.

How do I get there?
Get off at Fukushima Station on the JR Tohoku Shinkansen or the JR Tohoku Main Line, change to the Fukushima Kotsu Iizaka Line to the terminus at Iizaka Onsen Station, then walk 7 minutes. By car it is about 25 minutes from Fukushima Station.
