What types of baths are available?
There are two outdoor baths: the main building's garden outdoor bath (sukiya-style with a bamboo garden setting) and an outdoor bath at the annex Taikan-so. Overnight guests can use both. We also have a private bath available.

Check-in is from 15:00 (some plans allow until 22:00), and check-out is 10:00. Times may vary depending on your plan, so please confirm.

We have barrier-free facilities including wheelchair-accessible toilets and diaper-changing stations (annex). Service dogs (guide dogs, hearing dogs, and assistance dogs) are welcome.

What are the nearby tourist attractions?
Goura is the birthplace of modern Japanese art, and the Rokakudo pavilion (within walking distance) is famous for its connection to Okakura Tenshin. The Ibaraki Tenshin Memorial Goura Museum is also nearby. You can also enjoy the scenic coastline that Yokoyama Taikan used as a model.

Can I use the bath for day visitors?
Day-visitor bathing is available from 11:00 to 15:00 (reception closes at 14:30). The spring water is sodium-calcium chloride, and credit cards and electronic money are accepted.

What is the hot spring water quality?
The spring is sodium-calcium chloride. The open-air bath Taikan-no-yu features natural hot spring water at 71°C from the source and flows directly (non-recycled). Both the main building and annex have open-air baths available for guests.

Free shuttle service is available (microbus for both arrival and departure; advance notice required; minimum 2 guests). The shuttle is to and from Otsu-ko Station. Please contact us in advance.

What dishes are on the menu?
We prepare dishes using seasonal ingredients from Ibaraki and fresh produce from local mountains and sea. In winter (October–March), our signature anko (monkfish) cuisine is excellent. We offer various plans including seafood cuisine and abalone gourmet plans.
