How do I get here by train and bus?
From JR Aomori Station (or Shin-Aomori Station), take the JR Bus 'Mizuumi-go' heading to Towada Lake and get off at Tsuta Onsen bus stop (about 110 minutes), then it's about 0 minutes on foot from the stop. From Hachinohe Station, take JR Bus 'Oiraseë-go' to Towada Onsen Kyōgō, then transfer to 'Mizuumi-go' for about 15 minutes.

Can I walk through "Tsuta Forest"?
There are walking trails through the beech forest "Tsuta Forest" that surrounds the inn, where you can enjoy the seasonal natural beauty—fresh greens in spring, deep green in summer, and autumn foliage. Lake Tsuta is a particularly popular photo spot where trees are mirrored in its still waters.

Is there winter service?
During winter (late November to around end of March), snow and nighttime road closures affect some routes. If driving, the Kuroishi IC → Route 394 → Route 103 route is recommended, or check ahead with your accommodation.

What is a 'self-spouting hot spring' (foot-source spring)?
It is an extremely rare type of hot spring where water wells up directly from beneath the bath tub floor. Since the fresh hot water fills the bath without contact with air, you can enjoy transparent and smooth water. You can bathe while watching small bubbles of hot water rising from the bottom of the tub.
What is the spring quality and what conditions does it help with?
The spring quality is sodium-calcium sulfate-bicarbonate-chloride, with a temperature of about 43 degrees. It is said to help with chronic skin conditions, cuts, and arteriosclerosis. Temperature may be adjusted by adding water.
What types of bath facilities do you have?
There are indoor baths: 'Senkyō-no-yu' (separate for men and women) and 'Kyūan-no-yu' (alternating hours for men and women). Kyūan-no-yu hours are women: 10:00–12:00 and 21:30–8:00, men: 13:00–21:00. We also offer private baths.

What types of rooms are available?
Japanese-style rooms in the main building and modern Japanese twin rooms in the west building, plus the highest-grade private villas (three types: Tsukikasane, Yakuzuru, and Hyotan). All villas have hot spring source-fed semi-open-air baths and some feature meditation rooms and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

What kind of meals do you serve?
Meals centre on kaiseki (multi-course Japanese dinner) featuring seasonal ingredients from Aomori Prefecture. The carefully prepared dishes using seafood such as abalone, iwana (char), and flounder, Aomori beef, and local vegetables are well-regarded. Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet style.
