How do I get here by train?
About 1 hour 50 minutes from Tokyo Station on the JR Limited Express Wakashio to Awa-Komminato Station, then 5 minutes by taxi (complimentary shuttle available with advance reservation). From Chiba Station, about 1 hour 40 minutes on the JR Sotobo Line.

Tanjoji Temple and Tai no Ura are 1 minute on foot. Kamogawa Sea World is about 10 minutes by car. Katsuura Undersea Park and Katsuura Morning Market are about 25 minutes by car. Oyama Senmaita rice terraces are about 30 minutes by car. Yoro Gorge is about 40 minutes by car.

Is it possible to stay with family?
We have private dining areas where families with children can dine comfortably. The Live Kitchen AWA, opening in July 2026, also features a kids corner and is recommended for families.

We are an established ryokan founded in 1930 (Showa 5), celebrating our 95th anniversary in 2025. We have been selected for "100 Leading Hotels and Ryokans in Japan" chosen by professionals, and are a member of the Japan Ryokan Association.

What kind of hot spring is the open-air bath at 35 meters above ground?
It is an outdoor observation open-air bath with views overlooking Uchiura Bay (the Pacific Ocean). You can enjoy spectacular views that change with the time of day—sunset, night scenery, and morning light. We have been selected as one of the "100 Sunset Viewing Inns."

What style of cuisine is served?
Japanese kaiseki (multi-course dinner) using fresh seafood from Boso, served at our traditional restaurant and dining hall, plus teppanyaki and creative Japanese-Western fusion cuisine at grill restaurant "GOKAN". From July 2026, we also offer "Live Kitchen AWA" style dining.

You can use the "Komminato Parking Lot (gate-style)" at our partner parking facility Yoshiyume, adjacent to our inn. Parking is complimentary from 13:00 on your check-in date until 12:00 on your check-out date. Please present your parking ticket at the front desk.
