Is there a pick-up service from JR Awara-Onsen Station?
We offer a free pick-up service from JR Awara-Onsen Station. Please request it when booking. From Awara-Yunomachi Station on the Echizen Railway it is about 5 minutes' walk.

Yes, we accept solo guests. As a quiet inn for small numbers, we are popular with people travelling alone.

How many rooms are there, and of what types?
There are 17 rooms in total, each with a semi-open-air bath fed continuously from the source. Meals are served in your room.

What are the qualities and benefits of the hot spring?
It is a sodium and calcium chloride spring (isotonic, neutral, high temperature), with a source temperature of about 70 degrees Celsius. It is said to help with neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, poor circulation, chronic women's complaints, skin conditions, digestive complaints, haemorrhoids, frozen shoulder, bruises, sprains and recovery after illness. Our four sources yield 100 litres per minute.

Are there large communal baths and open-air baths?
There are indoor baths (one each for men and women) and open-air baths (one each for men and women). There is also a free private cypress bath and a women-only open-air bath. Bathing hours are 15:00 to 10:00 the following morning.

Seasonal kaiseki cuisine using plenty of local and seasonal ingredients is brought to your room. In winter there is also a course featuring Echizen crab.

The Echizen crab season usually opens in early November. We offer an Echizen crab kaiseki course in winter only. Ordinary courses outside November to March do not include crab.
