What are the detached Bishotei rooms like?
They are detached rooms, each with its own bath fed continuously from the source, for a quiet and unhurried stay. They are a special space quite different in character from the main building, Tozenkaku.

What are the qualities of the hot spring?
It is free-flowing water from the source at Togura-Kamiyamada Onsen. The alkaline simple spring is gentle and well regarded for its effect on the skin. There is a large bathing hall with an open-air bath and a view, plus a private open-air bath.

Can I visit Zenkoji or Togakushi Shrine?
Zenkoji in Nagano City is about 40 minutes by car, and Togakushi Shrine about an hour. Ueda Castle and the night view from Obasuteyama are also popular Shinshu attractions.
