How do I get there from Osaka?
About 185 minutes (about 3 hours) by express bus from Osaka (Hankyu Sanbangai) to the Yumura Onsen bus stop, from where the inn is about 2 minutes' walk.

Roads may be icy or snow-covered in winter, so please bring winter tyres or snow chains.

What is Arayu, the famous spring at Yumura Onsen?
Arayu at Yumura Onsen is a source at 98 degrees Celsius. Local specialities made with the heat of the spring include Arayu eggs and Arayu tofu, which you can try in the Arayu area of the hot spring town.

The natural hot spring from our own source is a sodium bicarbonate spring. There is the Choju Oiwa-buro rock bath, a bath with a view, a herb cypress open-air bath, a garden open-air bath and a stone sauna bath. Source water is also piped to the baths and washbasins in the rooms.

There is a free pick-up service from JR Ebara Station (booking required three days in advance). If you come on the express bus from Osaka or Sannomiya, about 3 hours, the Yumura Onsen bus stop is about 2 minutes' walk away.

What is distinctive about the food?
We serve a seasonal kaiseki menu chosen by the head chef. Plans with Tajima beef as the centrepiece of the evening kaiseki are also popular. Seasonal dishes make the most of local ingredients.

There is a tea room, an izakaya corner, karaoke rooms, banquet rooms, meeting rooms, a wedding hall, a post-bath salon, a shop, vending machines, a summer-only pool, a games corner and table tennis.
