What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 15:00-18:00 and check-out is 10:00.
Is there a private bath?
There are 10 private baths, all free to use. If one is free you may use it without booking. There are also separate open-air baths for men and women facing the river.
What are the qualities of the hot spring?
It is a bicarbonate-type water regarded as a beauty bath, said to leave the skin feeling moist and to help with atopic skin. It flows continuously from the source.
Is there parking?
There is free parking for 20 vehicles. Please drive carefully, as the road to the inn is narrow.
What food is served?
We serve dishes made with ingredients grown in the clear water and soil of Totsukawa Village, including river fish sashimi, salt-grilled sweetfish with roe and seasonal Totsukawa tempura, all served in your room with a commitment to local produce.
How do I get there?
By car from Osaka: about 2 hours via the Minami-Hanna road, Katsuragi IC, National Route 24 to Gojo City and then National Route 168. By public transport: about 4 hours by bus bound for Totsukawa from Kintetsu Yagi Station, then about 15 minutes by taxi from the Totsukawa Onsen bus stop (booking required).
Is the inn a member of the Association for Preserving Japan's Secluded Hot Springs?
Yes, we are a member inn. Please note that the association's stamp scheme cannot be used here, as stated on the official website.
Is the hot spring water used in the cooking?
Rice cooked in the spring water takes on a golden colour from the minerals and has a deeper flavour. The water is used generously in our carefully home-made dishes.
Can I see the stars or experience nature?
You can enjoy the nature of Totsukawa: playing in the river, walking the old pilgrimage roads, mushroom picking and stargazing.

Families with children are very welcome, and there is plenty for children to do, such as playing in the river and other outdoor activities. Please contact us for details.
