How do I get there from Nakanojo Station?
About 40 minutes by scheduled bus bound for Shima Onsen from JR Nakanojo Station on the Agatsuma Line, alighting at the terminus, the Shima Onsen stop, then about 3 minutes on foot.

Can I walk in the surrounding countryside?
The inn is surrounded by the 100,000-tsubo Tamura Forest, where the sound of the river and the green of the woods ease away tiredness. The Shima Onsen area also has the Shima River and walking paths for exploring.

Where can I use the in-house vouchers?
In-house vouchers can be used at the shop, the corners within the inn, for extra dishes and for drinks. They cannot be put towards the room rate.

What are the qualities of the hot spring?
We have seven of our own sources on the site, yielding 1,600 litres of natural hot spring water a minute. Every bath in the inn uses it without recirculation, and the water can also be drunk.
How many baths are there?
There are eight baths, each with its own character, including the waterfall-view open-air bath Mori-no-Kodama, the Oketsu, Iwane and Gomuso baths, so you can enjoy the celebrated waters of Shima to the full.
Can I use the baths without staying overnight?
Day-use bathing is available, including a plan with a lunch set (about 2,200 yen with kamameshi rice). Please see the official website or contact us directly for details.
