How do I get here from Asahikawa?
From JR Asahikawa Station, take the Dohoku Bus "Souunkyo/Kamikawa" line for approximately 110 minutes to Souunkyo Onsen, then about 15 minutes on foot. In winter (mid-October to late April), the "Limited Express Shuttle Bus Taishsetsu" (14:10 departure, reservation required) runs from Asahikawa Station. By car, it is approximately 70 minutes from Asahikawa Station.

A free-to-use lobby space is available for all guests, with complimentary coffee service. A bakery café is also located on the first floor, where you can enjoy bread made with Hokkaido wheat.

When is the autumn foliage season?
Daisetsuzan is known for Japan's earliest autumn foliage, typically beginning from mid to late September. From the hotel's elevated location, you can enjoy views of the Souunkyo gorge and the surrounding autumn-colored mountains.

How many hot spring and large baths are there?
There are 3 large baths with different characteristics (Taiyuki no Yu, Chinita no Yu, Tenka no Yu) and 2 open-air baths. The hot spring is source-fed, and you can enjoy a bath-hopping rally by collecting stamps at each large bath. The sauna also offers self-löyly.
Can I reserve the ravine open-air bath for private use?
Tenka no Yu (ravine open-air bath) is available for private use by up to 4 groups per day (5,000 yen per group, advance reservation required until the day before).

Is this a convenient base for the ropeway and Souunkyo sightseeing?
The location is convenient for access to Souunkyo Ropeway (Kuro-dake Ropeway). We offer electric-assist bicycles for rent (paid), and distribution maps of the surrounding area are available at the front desk.

There are 3 restaurants: HINNA no Mori (buffet), inankul (creative cuisine), and Kikkyouan (Japanese kaiseki). From November 2025, all beverages during dinner are complimentary at all restaurants.

How do I get here?
About 25 minutes by car from JR Kamikawastation. About 110 minutes by Dohoku Bus "Sounkyo/Kamikawabound" from JR Asahikawa Station, then about 15 minutes on foot. During winter (mid-October to late April), a hotel shuttle bus called "Express Shuttle Bus Taisestu" is available from Asahikawa Station (advance reservation required). About 75 minutes from Asahikawa Airport.
