What is the history of the main building?
The main building "Akita Cedar Hall," completed in 1939, is a nationally registered tangible cultural property. Built by 80 master carpenters from Akita, Aomori, and Iwate who competed in their craftsmanship, this wooden three-story structure features an exterior of giant natural Akita cedar, a soaring entrance, and uniquely designed rooms.

We have a large public bath, observation open-air bath, and sauna. You can enjoy bathing while overlooking Lake Towada from the open-air bath.

Where and what time are meals served?
Meals are served in the restaurant or a large hall. Dinner is 17:45–21:00 (last seating 19:30), and breakfast is 7:00–9:00 (last seating 8:30). Allergy accommodations are available, so please consult with us when booking.
