What changed in the 2024 renovation?
The hotel reopened after renovation in July 2024, with facilities renewed throughout, including massage chairs in every room in the main building, offering a new kind of stay as a retreat hotel on the shore of Lake Biwa.

There is a bathing hall using radium ore. The water is well regarded for keeping you warm afterwards and leaving the skin moist, and the space is generous and relaxing. There is also a sauna.
