How do I get there from Sakihana Station, and is there a pick-up?
About 8 minutes' walk from Sakihana Station on the JR Banetsu West Line. A shuttle is also available; please contact us in advance if you would like to use it.

Can I see the Agano River from the rooms?
Yes, every room looks out over the broad flow of the Agano River. Most are 8-tatami Japanese rooms with a wide veranda, so you can relax to the view of the river.

What kinds of bath are there?
There are two indoor baths (one each for men and women) and one private open-air bath. Bathing is available 5:30-24:00 (except during cleaning). The private open-air bath is free for overnight guests (45 minutes per session, booked at check-in).

What are the qualities and benefits of Sakihana Onsen?
The water is a sulphur-bearing sodium-calcium chloride and sulphate spring (pH 7.8) at a source temperature of 50.2 degrees, used at 100 per cent without recirculation. Known as a beautifying bath rich in skin-friendly minerals, it is an emerald green water with a faint scent of hydrogen sulphide.
How much is the private open-air bath, and does it need booking?
It is free for overnight guests, in 45-minute sessions booked at the front desk at check-in. Except on plans that guarantee it, availability depends on bookings.

What food is served?
We are committed to Niigata produce, serving dishes making generous use of seasonal local ingredients: wild vegetables from Gosen, Murakami beef steak and charcoal-grilled Niigata snow crab in winter. Meals are served in the private-room style restaurant Hekisui; dining in your room carries an extra charge.

The sake bar Kura has a good range of local sake, sake cocktails and wine, along with dishes that go well with them.
