By car, it takes approximately 10 minutes from Morioka Station and approximately 15 minutes from the Tohoku Expressway Morioka IC.

The hotel was opened on July 14, 1981 (Bastille Day) by sculptor Masami Kikuchi, who was inspired by "Hotel du Nord" in Paris, known as the setting for French films. It is characterized by a calm space that blends Japanese and Western elements, including a lobby designed with a "storehouse" theme and the restaurant Kamado with its impressive thick wooden beams.

All rooms have been non-smoking since the renovation in March 2019.

Historical buildings from the Edo and Meiji periods, including Morioka Castle ruins (Iwate Park), Ishiwari Sakura cherry tree, the clear Nakatsugawa Stream, and the Iwate Bank Red Brick Building, are scattered within walking distance. Located in the government building district, it is an ideal location for leisurely exploring Morioka's historic streetscapes.

On the 2nd floor, there is a Japanese restaurant "Kamado" which serves breakfast, dinner, lunch, and is also available for banquets and conferences. It is a calm atmosphere restaurant with impressive thick wooden beams on the ceiling.

You can use the affiliated coin parking (The Park Uchimaru) (fee applies). As a guideline, it costs approximately 900 yen per night (15:00–10:00 the next day). The previous multi-storey car park has been discontinued.
