Kusatsu City lies on the shore of Lake Biwa, where you can cycle over the Lake Biwa Bridge and through the beautiful lakeside parks. It is also a convenient base for the main sights of Shiga and Kyoto, such as Omihachiman and Mount Hiei.

About 20 minutes direct from JR Kyoto Station on the special rapid service, and reachable from JR Osaka Station on the same service. It is a very convenient base for business or sightseeing in the Kansai region.

It is right in front of you as you leave the west exit of JR Kusatsu Station, about 30 seconds' walk. An arcade runs from the station to the hotel, so you stay almost entirely dry even in sudden rain.

Breakfast is free for pre-school children. Elementary school children pay 1,000 yen (1,250 yen if coming straight to the restaurant).

There is no coin laundry in the hotel, but the front desk offers a laundry service (except Sundays and public holidays). Items brought to the front desk by 9:30 are ready by about 20:00 the same day. We can also direct you to a coin laundry within walking distance.

There is a Lawson on the ground floor connected directly to the hotel, handy for anything you have forgotten or for daily necessities.

A Japanese and Western buffet at the all-day dining restaurant Liberty (6:45-9:30, last entry 9:00), with dishes using Shiga ingredients including the hotel's own Omi beef curry. It costs 2,000 yen per person when booked at check-in or the day before, or 2,500 yen if you come straight to the restaurant.

There are two affiliated multi-storey car parks in the west exit rotary of JR Kusatsu Station, at 700 yen per car per night (revised from April 2026). They cannot be booked in advance. The hotel is not directly connected to the car parks, so please leave the car park and walk to the hotel.
