How do I get to Tachibanaya from JR Atsumi Onsen Station?
We offer free shuttle service from JR Atsumi Onsen Station to Tachibanaya (approximately 5 minutes). Advance reservation is required, so please feel free to contact us.
If I'm flying, what is the nearest airport?
Shonai Airport is the nearest, about 50 minutes by rental car. Flights from Haneda and Narita airports to Shonai take about 1 hour. From Yamagata Airport, it takes about 2.5 hours by connecting highway bus and JR.
If I drive, what is the nearest interchange?
Atsumi Onsen IC is the nearest, and you'll reach Tachibanaya about 5 minutes after exiting. It's convenient to enter the phone number "0235-43-2211" into your car navigation.

Can families with babies and small children stay comfortably?
Tachibanaya is certified as Yamagata Prefecture's first 'Welcome Baby Accommodation' by Miki House Child Research Institute. We have a dedicated baby guest room, and our private bath is equipped with baby body soap and a small mat. If the Welcome Baby room is fully booked, we can prepare a general room as a family room—please inquire.

What is the detached villa Kanshuisō like?
It is a detached villa with a hot spring bath overlooking a Japanese garden. In May 2025, we opened semi-open-air bath equipped Japanese-Western rooms and the dedicated dining venue "Shonaigumi." The room features a 10-tatami Japanese room plus a 4.5-tatami room, with a total area of 56–68 m², accommodating 2 to 5 guests.

We offer semi-open-air bath equipped Japanese-Western rooms (Shinonomé, Hagoromo, Souten), detached villa Kanshuisō overlooking the garden, Welcome Baby certified rooms (East building), East building Deluxe, West building Superior, South building Standard, and Western twin rooms.

What types of hot springs and baths do you have?
We offer a spacious public bath featuring Atsumi hot spring, a famous traditional spa, as well as a private bath for families. Guests staying in the detached villa Kanshuisō or semi-open-air bath equipped rooms (Shinonomé, Hagoromo, Souten) can also enjoy hot spring baths in their rooms.

What are the meals like, and where are dinner and breakfast served?
Dinner features Yamagata's premium rice variety "Haenuki," and breakfast features "Tsuya-hime." We specialize in kaiseki (multi-course Japanese dinner) using seasonal mountain and sea delicacies. Meals are served at the dining venue "Shonaigumi" (reservation required for dedicated plan) or in-room dining at Tachibana. Guests staying in Welcome Baby certified rooms will have dinner served in their room.

Are there cafés or shops in the facility?
We have a riverside takeout café "Saji Café" and open terrace "Kajika Terrace" (open April–November), "Lounge Shiki" overlooking the garden (with craft beer and Yamagata beverages), and a souvenir shop "Omiyageya Hana-no-ichi" with local Yamagata products.
Can I borrow stylish yukata for women?
We offer free yukata rental for women. You can wear them around the facility and gardens, along the Atsumi River, or while visiting the hot spring foot bath spots in Atsumi hot spring town (from April to November, we also offer the "Yukata-meguri" walking tour).
